Why Ski Livigno?

Long travel time

Reaching Livigno usually ends up as a mission since going there consumes longer travel time. The major airports that can be used as starting points are Milan and Zurich. Other airports include Bergamo, Milan Malpesa and minor airports such as Tirano and Zernez. Road transfer from the nearest airport is four to five hours away. Rail travel is an easy ride and you can take one from the UK taking the route to Zuric and Zernez following the quick trip from Paris. There is also an evening sleeper train coming from Paris going to Tirano and Zernes area. Buses from the final train stations usually bring you to the resort. If you are travelling by car, the final leg of going to the ski area is a rough road, so it is advisable to put snow gears and snow tires on your car before taking the final road to the ski domain.

Livigno has a total of 10 % black runs, 36 % red runs, and 28 % blue runs. The ski lifts can bring more than 46,000 people at an hourly rate. Given the high altitude, snow is assured all throughout the season and the area has reliable snow-making. Lively apres ski also welcomes non skiers who might want to roam around the villages.

As compared to the more expensive and luxurious St. Moritz, Livigno is a haven for those who want to out ski with killing their bank accounts. There are a lot of apartments and studios available that are budget friendly at the same time. Since the place is also tax free, accommodations are way cheaper than regular ski resorts.
