The ski area, known as the "4 Vallées" consists of a network of 410 km piste and 95 lifts. Snow record is very good from November trough until April with altitude of runs between 1500m and 3330m. This huge ski area provides endless pistes suitable for all skiing abilities, with some of the best off-piste and extreme ski anywhere in the Alps.

Chalet-style ski accommodation

The Verbier ski resort is very pretty unlike some of the concrete monstrosities that can be found over the border in France. Ski accommodation available tends to be chalets or apartments in chalet-style buildings, which give the resort a nice alpine feel to it. Beware not many ski accommodation do offer ski-in ski-out. Often it takes a short bus ride to get you to the ski lift and slopes. Ski accommodation in Verbier is also very expensive unless you stay outside the village centre.

Verbier can be expensive

Verbier is great but you have to be prepared to pay for it as it is on the expensive side, especially if you stay in chalet ski accommodation and eat out a lot. £2k won't get you much in a peak season week. However there are self-catering ski accommodation options and supermarket prices are not too bad. If you choose self-catering ski accommodation, stay clear of expensive Apres-ski bars and restaurants you might manage to get a week out there for less than a grand.
